BW Industrial Development JSC, one of the Vietnam’s leading logistics and industrial real estate developers, announced the appointment of Gene King as its chief investment officer, effective March 1.
The newly created position marks the inauguration of BW Industrial Development JSC’s fund raising and fund management business.
After six years of growth from 2018, BW will be launching its namesake private equity vehicles, in both growth and core strategy, to cope with the ever-surging demand from supply chain diversification and investment appetite for Vietnam industrial assets.

King will be based in Ho Chi Minh City to oversee all equity-related strategies from capital raising and joint venture partnership, to fund management.
King brings 19 years of experience to the table in cross-border property development and mergers and acquisitions. He has been stationed in Ho Chi Minh City since 2016, and his strong presence and active market engagement have built him profound industry relationships in the region.
Before joining BW, King was managing director of Ally Logistic Property Vietnam, a Taiwanese industrial property powerhouse, covered Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand. He served as principal of Cathay Private Equity’s SEA Logistics Infrastructure Partnership during the tenure.
