Walmart Group, the world’s largest hypermarket chain, in particular, is looking to increase its position in Vietnam by establishing a new purchasing channel, according to Linh.
According to Mr. Tran Phu Lu, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Trade and Investment Promotion Center, the entire import-export turnover of commodities by city firms declined by more than 20% year on year, while exports decreased by 15.3% in the first eight months of the year.
