FPT Software has launched carbon accounting solution VertZéro developed by FPT subsidiary, FPT IS. The move demonstrates the tech firm’s commitment to transparent emission reporting across its national and international branches and to meeting the demands of sustainable development within the global technology supply chain.
VertZéro is designed to meet global standards for emissions reporting and GHG removal, such as ISO 14064, GHG Protocol, and other standards.
The solution can assist organisations in addressing green standards in multiple markets and is being applied throughout several processes at FPT Software, including data collection and systematisation; identification of sources and emission factors; calculation of emissions; and strategic planning.
The goal is to help the company proactively embrace inventory GHGs in three scopes by connecting and synchronising data from 30 countries and building standard emission coefficients with customisation options for each region.

With the current system of regulations and standards for sustainable development around the world, such as the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism, international businesses, especially in Europe and Japan, are seeking ways to comply. Systems that allow firms to monitor data related to supply chain sustainability are becoming more and more of interest to FPT’s major global partners.

However, the most significant challenge for the project lies in establishing a database of emission factors according to the standards of over 30 countries, ensuring the most accurate emission reporting for each region possible. This project will also be instrumental in our continued partnership with Vietnamese enterprises in their strategies to meet green standards, aiming to become sustainable organisations alongside them.”
