Hanoi, May 5, 2022 – Vinmec Healthcare System (Vinmec) held a signing ceremony of the High-class Health Check-up Center in cooperation with Seoul National University Hospital (SNUH), witnessed by the Korean Ambassador to Vietnam. This event not only affirms Vinmec’s goal in its international development strategy but is also expected to create a remarkable advance in preventive medicine in the country.

The 5-year Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two sides sets specific goals for Vinmec’s high-class General Health Checkup Center based in Vinmec Times City Hospital (Hanoi), which is in line with SNUH in Korea.
It’s not only a health check-up centre but also a comprehensive and in-depth health assessment model which aims at an early screening of the risk of diseases such as cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, stroke, elderly diseases, etc., creating personalised health management programs for each customer.
With 130 years of experience in training, research, management and operation in the medical field, Seoul National University Hospital (SNUH) will support Vinmec in implementing premium health care and management programs.
According to the agreements, screening programs and general health check-ups will be organised and managed by a team of prestigious professors and doctors of the Gangnam General Health Check-up Center (under SNUH) – the leading centre in preventive medicine in Korea. SNUH’s experts will directly participate in the high-class General Health Check-up Center at Vinmec Times City and train the staff, transfer and apply technical processes, algorithms, and SNUH’s diagnostic logic in providing early risk screening to customers.
Vinmec will take advantage of the system’s state-of-the-art facilities and technologies, experienced staff, and achievements in gene research and application to receive technology transfers and operations from SNUH.
Thanks to this close cooperation, the Korean standard high-class general health check-up centre at Vinmec Times City Hospital will help every customer perceive and access healthcare services from the very beginning, actively control and improve their own health through the highest-personalized health management plans, therefore, contributing to reducing the pressure on the national healthcare system.
The cooperation between Vinmec and SNUH stems from the fact that both sides share a vision of the need for preventive medicine in the COVID pandemic and the increasing prevalence of chronic non-communicable diseases.
With the motto “Prevention is better than cure”, applying the most advanced technology in health care will increase initiative and efficiency, reduce the burden on the Vietnamese health care system, and improve the quality of customers’ lives. Both sides also consider this a foundation for deepening cooperation in other fields between the two health care systems in the future.

“In addition, as Korea and Vietnam celebrate the 30th anniversary of diplomatic ties this year, we hope that this cooperation will contribute to improving the health of Vietnamese people and Koreans in Vietnam and serve as a milestone in strengthening medical cooperation between the two countries.”
After the signing ceremony, representatives of both sides had a meeting to start the preparation process for the Health Check-up Center.
